Welding

Ellwood Crankshaft Group specializes in the ability to offer weld-on counterweights in addition to bolt-on counterweights.  Weld-on counterweights are heat treated to ensure thorough hardening of the weld post.  This process offers added value compared to bolt-on designs.  ECG's welders are qualified and certified per AWS structural welding code, D 1.1.  Weld processes as well as welding consumables are approved by major Marine Classification Societies.
